Work Exhibited No.1

The Exhibition that I went seeing was from the artist Anthony Lucian Cauchi , he was born in Hal Qormi but currently living in Saint Julian’s. He started studying art at the government school of art (Drawing and Sculpture) and at St. Joseph Technical School (Ceramics). After he continued in M.C.A.S.T Targa- Gap and in Perugia Italy. You can find his works in numerous Maltese households, Hospitals and Museums.

This is some of his work that he had done in ceramics; I’m really impressed how much they caught my eye that quickly. They have a lot of thought in them you can see how the artist made a lot of detail in them and how focus he was so he can send out the message so the persons will understand them. The glazes he used were perfectly decided for the sculptures made them more professional, in my opinion he could have added a plain colour glaze to those pieces which are unglazed that way he could more attract the person to it.

While I was reading his statement I was really impressed, although he spend 50 years working he said that on his art there are still some risk that might be misunderstood but he said that it is important to be true to himself and wants to touch others in some way with his art.
