Egyptian Hair/Make up

HAIR: The Egyptians used have rules about their hair also; the wealthy women usually kept their hair short and would wear wigs with braided beads on them. Other women would keep their hair long and but with heavy decorations at the end to keep their hair straight. The children usually had a shaved head and only had a side braid. The priests, due to their vow, had to remove every patch of hair they had to be purified. The men usually kept their hair and facial hair shaved and wore fake wigs.

People are getting inspired on the hairstyles they used to do. People this time want to explore new ideas and designs so they always give up for a change for a fresh new look. They usually do a look like this in summer and the short fringe is most popular with young teenagers and young adults.

Makeup: The Egyptians, both men and women used to wear black eyeliner on their eyes. They would also do coloured eye shadow such as green, blue and white. They also used to draw their eyebrows black with the same materials they used for their eyes. The lips used to be painted from a red material called 'red ochre', with this material they used to paint their cheeks as well. The colours yellow and orange were used on their fingernails.  That time people thought that it was a rule that when the Pharaoh dies, he would be patched up with make up so he would be well presented when he went to meet the gods. As how much make up was important to them they also decorated their paintings and statues with the same design they do.

People are using the Egyptian designs as part of their make-up routine for everyday or for occasions. The cosmetics that we use today are safer and more efficient than the people were using that era. Although they are keeping the same designs, they are changing some things now on them and editing more colour for the eye shadow rather than just green and blue.
